The Oklahoma State Department of Education will release the Parent/Student Reports for the Spring 2017 OSTP test this month. Below is a link to the OSDE “Assessment Guidance” section of their website.
Assessment Guidance – UPDATED 11/7/2017
We would also like to share some of DPS successes over the past year:
Pre-K and Elementary: Every site now has access to STAR assessments which provide information to teachers, students, and parents about literacy and numeracy skills. Each site uses this real time data to design interventions or extensions for students. Across each site, parents have increased their volunteer hours. Teaches across all elementary sites have committed to increased professional learning. Teachers in our district have received grants, presented at conferences, and have won state awards.
DMS: Since last year, the middle school has decreased behavior referrals by 26%. Their PTO has doubled in size and 90% of their students are passing all classes compared to 75% this time last year.
DHS: The high school has decreased the number of F's by targeting remediation for students who are falling behind. The number of Advanced Placement (AP) courses has increased as well as the number of students passing AP tests with a 3, 4, or 5.
