First graders have been making snowflake ornaments in Mrs. Berry’s Art class. Look how beautiful they turned out! ❄️

In collaboration with the Duncan Police Department, we have been advised to release the Hold/Secure Status at Duncan High School, Duncan Middle School, Horace Mann Elementary, and Mark Twain Elementary.

DHS, DMS, Mark Twain, and Horace Mann are currently in a Hold out of an abundance of caution. There is a situation occurring in a nearby neighborhood, and it does not involve any school at this time.

We are taking extra precautions to ensure the safety of our students and staff.
Everyone is safe, and learning is continuing inside the classrooms.

🌟 First Grade November Reading BINGO Participants! 📚🧡 A big shout-out to our amazing first graders who completed their November Reading BINGO! Their hard work, dedication, and love for reading shine bright. ✨ Way to go, readers! Keep turning those pages! 📖💫

First grade had so much fun exploring the question, “Do pumpkins float?” Students graphed their predictions and then put the theory to the test. The result was a huge surprise to these students! 🍁🎃

Mrs. McPherson’s class has been truly blessed to have Miss Ramirez as a student teacher this semester. Her heart, her hard work, and the way she jumped right in with our kiddos has made such an impact. We just know she’s going to be an incredible teacher, and we’re cheering her on as she begins this next chapter. Wishing her all the best! 💛📚✨

Mrs. Lehr’s class had a blast on their first day of STARBASE! Students completed a CAD scavenger hunt, built elements and compounds, and mixed substances to investigate endothermic and exothermic reactions. It was an exciting day of hands-on learning and discovery!
