🎒Clear Backpack Policy for 2026-2027 🎒
The safety of our students is our top priority at Duncan Public Schools.
Beginning in the 2026-2027 school year, clear backpacks will be required for all PK-12 students.
This policy is part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining a safe learning environment for every student. Clear backpacks allow us to take proactive steps to ensure our schools remain secure while still allowing students to carry the items they need each day.
Students can carry the following in their backpacks: A lunchbox and a pouch (pouches can be no larger than 5.5 x 8.5 inches) to hold personal items such as cell phones, money, and personal hygiene products.
