🎲 Frankenstein Meets Game Night! 🧟✨
Ms. Black's English IV class took their study of Frankenstein to the next level by creating their own board games!
After reading and analyzing the classic, students applied their knowledge and creativity to design unique games. This week, they're rotating through their classmates' creations to play and review playability.
Who knew English class could be this much fun?!

🌱 Cultivating Growth at Horace Mann Elementary! 🌻
Miss Jones' class has been working with our School-Based Family Specialist, Mrs. Tarpley, on an exciting new prevention program called Cultivating Growth!
This innovative series of lessons uses gardening to nurture students' physical, social-emotional, and cognitive development while fostering a deeper connection with nature, promoting STEM learning, and instilling environmental stewardship.
What students have been learning:
🌾 The basic parts of a seed and different types of seeds
🌾 How seeds germinate
🌾 How the grocery store is full of seeds they can plant
🌾 Creating their own bean seed gardens to take home
🌾 Choosing seed packets to grow at home
🌾 Demonstrating their knowledge through online gaming platforms for a chance to win nutritious snacks!
Students have been fully engaged through hands-on activities that require both collaborative and independent work. They're already looking forward to the next lesson where they'll make their own soil and seed dispersal systems!
We love seeing our students grow and learn in such creative ways! 🌿
