Working in groups, they first completed a puzzle with the picture side down, then tried again with the picture face up. The activity showed just how important communication, patience, and teamwork are—especially when the “big picture” isn’t clear.
It was a great reminder that when we support one another, even tough challenges become possible! 💡👏

Special Olympics Unified Sports brings together students with and without intellectual disabilities to train, compete, and grow as teammates. At Duncan High School, our Unified program gives students the chance to compete as athletes or serve as Unified Partners, building teams where everyone belongs.
Through Unified Sports, we promote inclusion, respect, and friendships that go far beyond the game. Our teams show that sports are more than competition—they are a powerful way to bring people together.
At DHS, we’re proud to lead with unity, ensuring every student has a place to belong and succeed both on and off the court. 🏐❤️🖤

Duncan Public Schools is proud to introduce a brand-new resource for our students and families: School Based Family Specialists.
These specialists are dedicated to walking alongside families, offering support and connecting them with resources that help students thrive both inside and outside the classroom. While they work closely with the Department of Human Services, they are DPS employees here to serve our students, our families, and our schools.
Their focus will include:
✅ Supporting families with child welfare needs
✅ Addressing truancy challenges
✅ Connecting families with community resources tailored to their needs
We are excited to welcome two School Based Family Specialists to our district this year! Take a moment to read their bios so you can learn more about the incredible people stepping into these important roles.
At DPS, we believe that when families thrive, students succeed. Every child deserves a champion, and these new positions add even more champions of excellence to our team, investing in the success of every student. ❤️🖤

🔥 Major Heating System Upgrades Underway at DHS
Big improvements are happening behind the scenes at Duncan High School. Crews have been working hard to replace outdated heating equipment, some of which had been in place for more than 40 years.
This project is expected to improve comfort throughout the building, increase energy efficiency, and reduce future maintenance needs.
We appreciate the time and effort going into this project and look forward to a warmer, more efficient campus for our students and staff.
