Horace Mann PTO is Excited to Announce… We are officially kicking off our Champions of Excellence Fundraiser! 🏆 This year, our goal is simple but powerful: to raise funds that support our students, teachers, and classrooms while building school spirit and pride. Here’s how it works: Each sponsorship is $10 The sponsor’s name will be printed on the back of a Champion T-shirt. Students who participate and meet their goals earn amazing prizes and experiences! From desk pets 🐾 to pizza parties 🍕 to once-in-a-lifetime VIP opportunities with Duncan athletes under the Friday Night Lights! 🏈 These shirts can also be worn every Fans Wear Red Friday, giving students free admission to Duncan football games! ❤️🖤 Parents, you collect the money and submit your students sponsors names through our Google Form at one time: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfTYInhO0ZQsle-w0tA6LbwAbnefrxPTQjt9-UGT8I7OA2V4g/viewform (Google form is time stamped) Submit funds collected all at one time. Pay by cash or check (payable to HM PTO) or pay online via MySchoolBucks. This fundraiser is about more than raising money. It’s about showing our kids that they are surrounded by a community of Champions who believe in them. 🏀 Future Duncan Hoopers Tour 🏀

We are excited to announce the Future Duncan Hoopers Tour, coming to each elementary campus September 22–30! This free camp is open to all 1st–5th grade boys and will take place right after school until 4:45 PM at each site.

Senator Kern visited Horace Mann to share a story with our students. He read “The Soil in Jackie’s Garden” by author Peggy Thomas, helping students celebrate the importance of agriculture and the joy of reading.

Ms. Gates’Secret Students for August. They worked really hard to earn this award.

Mrs. Smiley’s kindergarten had a wonderful first month! We’ve been busy making new friends, learning our classroom rules, and practicing procedures. What a great start to our school year!

📢 Reminder: No school on Labor Day, Monday, September 1st Classes will resume on Tuesday, September 2nd Have a safe and restful weekend!

We are so grateful to our families, PTO for their generous support and donations that made our new cafeteria tables possible. They look fantastic, and our students are truly enjoying dining in style!
