Parents, please remember that we do not open until 7:45 am. Please do not drop your kids off in front of the school and leave before 7:45 am, as we do not have staff on duty to supervise before 7:45 am. Thank you for your help in keeping our students safe!

This is what $1,000 looks like! We are still $24k away from our goal. If we can reach 3k by tomorrow morning, the kids can have a hat day on Friday! Let's GO!

In remembrance of 9/11. Thank you to our Horace Mann custodians Ms. Sonya and Ms. Alison.
"Even the smallest act of service, the simplest act of kindness, is a way to honor those we lost, a way to reclaim that spirit of unity that followed 9/11."
—President Obama

Fundraiser packets went home last night. Thank you for helping us with our donation drive!

The First Grade are experimenting with arbitrary color, which means expressive color of the choice of the artist. Also, we are working on proper use of materials and tools (always) in art class. This was a FunDay Friday kind of thing. We have some very good artists throughout our school.

Miss Hale’s first grade class has had a wonderful start to the school year. This week students learned about the 5 Senses and made Smelly Names!

STARTING MONDAY!!!!
10 for $10 Fundraiser starts Monday! Try to find 10 people to donate $10 to help us meet our fundraising goal for the entire year! Each sponsor will sign a ticket to return to the school so we can fill up the "D" to feel the love of our community! We will keep you updated on our progress for the next two weeks! If we reach our goal, Mrs. Wall is getting SLIMED!!! Get ready!

Parents, 23-24 yearbooks are in and you may pick them up at the front office, or we will begin sending home with students next week.

Wish I had more pics of kids in library looking stuff up what I call the old fashioned way🤣🤣using books like dictionaries, encyclopedias and non fiction books in the library but the kids had FUN LEARNING.

Fourth grade has been learning about how different types of energy transfers. They got to see how heat affects marshmallows by making s’mores.

Mrs. McPherson’s class made “smelly names” today. The jello powder made our names smell so good. Then once they dried we used our sense of touch to feel the texture.

Horace Mann Parents, please take a moment to review this and learn the terminology. In the event of an emergency, you will need to know what these terms mean.
Starting this fall Duncan Public Schools has trained our staff and implemented the Standard Response Protocol at all of our campuses.
For all information available to our parents and guardians please review our materials below or visit the I LOVE YOU GUYS foundation webpage.
