Duncan Public Schools will be in session on Friday, April 3, for a district-wide make-up day.
All inclement weather days were used during the January snow and ice storm, requiring one additional day to meet state attendance requirements.
We understand this adjustment may cause some inconvenience and sincerely appreciate the flexibility and support of our families and staff.

The 2026–2027 Duncan Public Schools District Calendar is now available for families and staff to view. Take a look and start planning ahead for another great school year.
A downloadable, printer-friendly PDF version of the calendar is available here: https://aptg.co/cHzs-N
Please note that the calendar is subject to adjustments if necessary to accommodate district needs or board-approved changes.

Due to severe weather approaching our area, conferences will end early so teachers can travel home safely before the storm arrives.
Conferences are now closed.
If a new time is needed, please contact your child’s classroom teacher to reschedule.

We know everyone is excited to get a head start on preparing for the upcoming school year and we are too!

This isn’t how we hoped to finish the week, but safety has to come first. With temperatures expected to fall below freezing overnight and icy spots likely to return on neighborhood and school roads, Duncan Public Schools will be closed on Friday, January 30th.
Road conditions should improve later in the day, but the morning hours are expected to be difficult for buses, student drivers, and staff. We know this closing may cause challenges for families, and we appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we make decisions with safety in mind.
We look forward to welcoming students and staff back on Monday, ready to start a new week together!

We understand that these decisions can create difficulties for families, and we do not make them lightly. Student and staff safety are our top priority.
Please continue to monitor our social media accounts, the Duncan Public Schools App, and local news outlets for future updates.
