Mr. Ledford teaches Biology and Aviation at Duncan High School. He is also the Head Track and Cross-Country Coach. He is known for his ability to build meaningful connections with students, demonstrate leadership, and help students reach their full potential. We are incredibly proud to have him represent DPS as our 2025 District Teacher of the Year. ❤️🖤

The Duncan Little Dribblers Basketball Fundamentals Program is open to boys and girls in Pre-K through 5th grade.

Last week’s assembly at Mark Twain Elementary was packed with celebration and fun! 🌟
Our art classes also entered the Electric Cooperative coloring contest in honor of Willie Wirehand’s 75th birthday, and we are thrilled to share that Jacob Tovar, a 2nd grader in Mrs. Biffle’s class, earned 2nd place in the PreK–3rd grade division! 🖍️⚡
And of course, we can’t forget our staff, who joined in the fun with some fantastic costumes! 🎭✨
It was a day full of school spirit, creativity, and smiles at Mark Twain Elementary!
Our kindergarteners at Woodrow Wilson Elementary had a spot-tacular time dressing up as Dalmatians! ✨ They showed off their creativity by designing their own costumes, enjoyed themed treats, and wrapped up the day with a fun classroom activity.

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Mr. Haas, our Middle School and High School Band Director, for two remarkable achievements!
🥁 Mr. Haas has been announced as an inductee into the Duncan Area Arts Hall of Fame, recognizing his lasting impact on the arts within our community.
🎺 In addition, he is being inducted into the Oklahoma Music Educators Association (OkMEA) Hall of Fame, the highest honor an Oklahoma music educator can receive. This prestigious award is reserved for the state’s most distinguished directors and leaders in music education.
Mr. Haas has been a part of many generations of student musicians and elevated the standard of excellence in our band program and beyond. We are so proud of his achievements!

DPS Families, please do not add any additional funds to your student’s My School Bucks lunch accounts after October 30th, 2025.
All funds currently in your student’s My School Bucks Lunch Account will be transferred to our new system. Any funds added after October 30th will not be refunded or transferred over.
*Be sure to turn off your auto withdrawal lunch payments in the My School Bucks App to ensure your funds stay secured. *
My School Bucks will continue to be used for activities and School Store Items for the foreseeable future.
We will post updates on our social media platforms and in our Duncan Public Schools App with instructions on how to use our new system as soon as we complete the transition.
Our teams are working on making a seamless transition to our new system.

This weekend, our talented DHS Art Club students volunteered at Boo Review, adding creativity and color to the community with their amazing face painting skills! 👻✨
They did an incredible job and helped make the event even more fun for everyone who attended. We’re so proud of their artistic talents and their willingness to give back to the community!
Our amazing students at Emerson Elementary raised more than $2,000 for the Stephens County Humane Society of Oklahoma! ❤️
Their kindness and hard work earned them the title of Wag Walk Champions, and they celebrated in the best way! The top fundraising classes enjoyed a pizza party, and the whole school got a sweet treat from the Legacy Bank ice cream truck. 🍕🍦
We are so proud of our students for giving back, working together, and showing just how big their hearts are. Way to go, Emerson Elementary! 👏🐶🐱
